Cardiologists launch the alarm, violence causes cardiomyopathy
The broken heart syndrome is not a memory of romantic literature, it is a very serious disease, studied and cared for by cardiologists.
It is cardiomyopathy and affects almost exclusively women. Also known as Tako-Tsubo syndrome or stress cardiomyopathy, it is mainly found in mourning or traumatic events.
