The National Museum, a Trust of the Government, is an educational, scientific and cultural institution that acquires, documents, preserves, exhibits, and fosters scholarly study and public appreciation of works of art, specimens, and cultural and historical artifacts representative of our unique to the cultural heritage of the Filipino people and the natural history of the Philippines. It is mandated to establish, manage and develop museums comprising the National Museum Complex and the National Planetarium in Manila, as well as regional museums in key locations around the country. Currently, the National Museum national network comprise nineteen regional, branch and site museums throughout the archipelago.
The National Museum manages and develops the national reference collections in the areas of cultural heritage (fine arts, anthropology and archaeology) and natural history (botany, zoology,and geology and paleontology), and carries out permanent research programs in biodiversity, geological history, human origins, pre-historical and historical archaeology, maritime and underwater cultural heritage, ethnology, art history, and moveable and immoveable cultural properties. Appreciationof the collections and research findings of the Museum, as well as technical and museological skills and knowledge, are disseminated through exhibitions, publications, educational, training, outreach, technical assistance and other public programs.
The National Museum also implements and serves as a regulatory and enforcement agency of the Government with respect to a series of cultural laws, and is responsible for various culturally significant properties, sites and reservations throughout the country. It is the lead agency in the official commemoration of Museums and Galleries Month, which is the month of October, every year.

The National Museum has a three-dimensional goal covering diverse of fields of knowledge through various educational, scientific and cultural activities. As an educational institution, the National Museum disseminates scientific and technical knowledge in more understandable and practical forms through lectures, exhibitions, interviews and publications for students and the general public.
As a scientific institution, the National Museum conducts basic research programs combining integrated laboratory and field work in anthropology and archaeology, botany, geology, and zoology. It maintains reference collections on these disciplines and promotes scientific development in the Philippines.
As a cultural center, the National Museum takes the lead in the study and preservation of the nation’s rich artistic, historical and cultural heritage in the reconstruction and rebuilding of our nation’s past and veneration of the great pioneers who helped in building our nation.

Museo Nacional de Historia Nacional de Filipinas
El Museo Nacional, un Fideicomiso del Gobierno, es una institución educativa, científica y cultural que adquiere, documenta, conserva, exhibe y fomenta el estudio académico y la apreciación pública de obras de arte, especímenes y artefactos culturales e históricos representativos de nuestros únicos al patrimonio cultural del pueblo filipino y la historia natural de Filipinas. Tiene el mandato de establecer, administrar y desarrollar museos que comprendan el Complejo del Museo Nacional y el Planetario Nacional en Manila, así como museos regionales en lugares clave de todo el país. Actualmente, la red nacional del Museo Nacional comprende diecinueve museos regionales, filiales y de sitio en todo el archipiélago.
El Museo Nacional administra y desarrolla las colecciones nacionales de referencia en las áreas de patrimonio cultural (bellas artes, antropología y arqueología) e historia natural (botánica, zoología y geología y paleontología), y lleva a cabo programas de investigación permanentes en biodiversidad, historia geológica, orígenes humanos, arqueología prehistórica e histórica, patrimonio cultural marítimo y subacuático, etnología, historia del arte y propiedades culturales móviles e inamovibles. El reconocimiento de las colecciones y los hallazgos de investigación del Museo, así como las habilidades y conocimientos técnicos y museológicos, se difunden a través de exposiciones, publicaciones, educación, capacitación, divulgación, asistencia técnica y otros programas públicos.
El Museo Nacional también implementa y sirve como una agencia reguladora y de cumplimiento del Gobierno con respecto a una serie de leyes culturales, y es responsable de varias propiedades, sitios y reservas de importancia cultural en todo el país. Es la agencia líder en la conmemoración oficial del Mes de Museos y Galerías, que es el mes de octubre, todos los años.

Como institución educativa, el Museo Nacional difunde el conocimiento científico y técnico en formas más comprensibles y prácticas a través de conferencias, exposiciones, entrevistas y publicaciones para estudiantes y público en general.
Como institución científica, el Museo Nacional lleva a cabo programas de investigación básicos que combinan el trabajo integrado de laboratorio y de campo en antropología y arqueología, botánica, geología y zoología. Mantiene colecciones de referencia sobre estas disciplinas y promueve el desarrollo científico en Filipinas.

Pambansang Museo ng Pambansang Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas
Ang Pambansang Museyo, isang Tiwala ng Pamahalaan, ay isang institusyong pang-edukasyon, pang-agham at kulturang nakakakuha, dokumento, mapangalagaan, nagpapakita, at pag-aaral ng scholar na pag-aaral at pagpapahalaga sa publiko sa mga gawa ng sining, ispesimen, at kinatawan ng kultura at makasaysayang artifact ng aming natatanging sa pamana ng kultura ng sambayanang Pilipino at likas na kasaysayan ng Pilipinas. Inatasan na maitaguyod, pamahalaan at bubuo ang mga museyo na binubuo ng National Museum Complex at National Planetarium sa Maynila, pati na rin ang mga museo sa rehiyon sa mga pangunahing lokasyon sa buong bansa. Sa kasalukuyan, ang pambansang network ng National Museum ay binubuo ng labing siyam na mga museo ng rehiyon, sangay at site sa buong kapuluan.
Ang National Museum ay namamahala at nagkakaroon ng mga pambansang koleksyon ng sanggunian sa mga lugar ng pamana sa kultura (pinong sining, antropolohiya at arkeolohiya) at natural na kasaysayan (botani, zoology, at geology at paleontology), at nagsasagawa ng permanenteng mga programa ng pananaliksik sa biodiversity, kasaysayan ng heolohikal, pinagmulan ng tao, pre-makasaysayan at makasaysayang arkeolohiya, maritime at sa ilalim ng tubig na pamana sa kultura, etnolohiya, kasaysayan ng sining, at hindi maililipat at hindi mababago na mga katangian ng kultura. Ang National Museum ay nagpapatupad at nagsisilbing isang regulasyon at pagpapatupad ng ahensya ng Pamahalaan na may paggalang sa isang serye ng mga batas sa kultura, at responsable para sa iba’t ibang mga katangian ng kultura, site at reserbasyon sa buong bansa. Ito ang nangungunang ahensya sa opisyal na paggunita ng Mga Museo at Mga Gallery ng Buwan, na siyang buwan ng Oktubre, bawat taon.

Musée national d’histoire nationale des Philippines
Le Musée national, une fiducie du gouvernement, est une institution éducative, scientifique et culturelle qui acquiert, documente, conserve, expose et encourage l’étude scientifique et l’appréciation publique d’œuvres d’art, de spécimens et d’objets historiques et culturels représentatifs de notre au patrimoine culturel du peuple philippin et à l’histoire naturelle des Philippines. Il a pour mandat de créer, gérer et développer des musées comprenant le complexe du musée national et le planétarium national de Manille, ainsi que des musées régionaux situés dans des lieux stratégiques du pays. À l’heure actuelle, le réseau national des musées nationaux comprend 19 musées régionaux, de succursales et de sites dans l’archipel.
Le Musée national gère et développe les collections nationales de référence dans les domaines du patrimoine culturel (beaux-arts, anthropologie et archéologie) et de l’histoire naturelle (botanique, zoologie, géologie et paléontologie) et mène des programmes de recherche permanents sur la biodiversité, l’histoire géologique, origines humaines, archéologie préhistorique et historique, patrimoine culturel maritime et sous-marin, ethnologie, histoire de l’art et biens culturels meubles et immeubles. Le Musée national met également en œuvre et sert d’organisme de réglementation et d’application du gouvernement en ce qui concerne une série de lois culturelles. Il est également responsable de divers biens, sites et réserves d’importance culturelle dans tout le pays. Il s’agit de l’organisme chef de file de la commémoration officielle du Mois des musées et des galeries, qui est le mois d’octobre de chaque année.

Il maintient des collections de référence sur ces disciplines et favorise le développement scientifique aux Philippines.
